Planning a wedding is very stressful choosing a photographer shouldn't be.

Here are some questions to ask a propective photographer.
What is the difference between a professional photographer and a shoot and burn photographer? To begin with with we use professional equipment. All digital photographers need to be color and exposure corrected and tonally enhanced no matter how experienced a photographer you are. Not only do we use professional camera gear but we have the most updated retouching and design software as well as working with professional print and album companies.

What makes your photography unique? At DeMichillie Photographics we consider ourselves to be first and foremost a Traditional Photographer. Traditional by no means implies boring, but we have found through our clients that when designing an album  they often prefer the traditional shots. We then supplement with our creative and journalistics styles. We consider an album the single most important item in our package. 25 years down the road will you be displaying several or large images on your wall? 25 years from now will you still appreciate the quirky photos? From my own experience I know that I love getting my album out and sharing it with family and friends and appreiciate the fact that I have the traditional as well creative portraits. What is your level of experience?  We can show you printed albums, DVD slide shows, web shows  and profession portfolios displaying our work. Many photographers begin as assistants. It is vital to know how many weddings your photographer has been in charge of. Another important aspect of experience is how they have been in? We are entering our 6th year in business. It is perfectly acceptable to ask for references as well.

What kind of training do you have? I began as many photographes did being self taught and soon realized the value of formal education and workshops. I continue to take photography courses and attend workshops. when it comes to weddings tried and true methods of photography are the meat of your album. Creative and journalist styles greatly enhance every aspect of your experience.

What kind of backup do you provide? This is a two fold question. Does the photographer have back up equipment if shooting alone? DeMichillie Photographics not only has back up equipment but we always have 2 photographers at every wedding to ensure complete coverage.

Are you insured? We are a member of PPA and carry indeminity insurance.
